Incoming forwarded messages

I am using outlook 2003 and WinXP.
For some time I have been able to receive forwarded messages, usualy in
folder that I have been able to open. Sometimes last week I couldn't open
these any more. I can think of any changes I made to the Outlook program that
would affect this.
Can anyone help
