I have a problem opening up Outlook 2007 - it takes 12 minutes to open fully,
have I got a computer problem or is this normal. Several of you seem to have
slow problems. My Outlook.pst file is 42.6Mb

This has been happenning for a long time, and seems to be getting steadily

Do you have any plug-ins?
If you have intergrated Anti Virus try disabling the intergration, though
you may have to uninstall the AV prior to reinstalling without the Outlook
intergration.
You've also run a Detect/Repair from Help?

Yes - I have disabled the AV and detect/repair shows no faults.
Any other clues?

Locate outcmd.dat in the outlook folder, rename it to old, see if that helps

Should be here;
C:\Documents and Settings\user-directory\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook\outcmd.dat //change it to OUTCMD.old
