I'm pretty sure when you do this on older versions of outlook that it
removes it from the menu. But the safest way to protect your mail from
prying eyes when you aren't at your desk is to lock the desktop.

How do I do this???? I know it is safer but in my environment it is
not necessarily so as with the preview pane open others view emails
over the shoulder and this is unwanted. Also does this prevent
someone from simply going to view and hitting the preview option to
turn it back on? Goal is to have it so preview is not available at
all....

Do you have to do this each time you start Outlook and if not how do
you cancel it and go back to default (start point).
