How do I switch to RTF in Outlook 2003 when the Help instructions are
incorrect?

OUTLOOK SAYS: To switch to RTF for a single message, go to ACTIONS > New
Mail Message Using > (select format).

I SAY: That would be great, except ACTIONS does NOT provide a "New Mail
Message Using" option from the drop down menu.

OUTLOOK SAYS: To change all your messages to RTF, go to TOOLS > Options >
(Mail Format tab).

I SAY: No matter how many times you click on TOOLS, you aren't going to find
any Options. Options is found in the VIEW drop down menu, and it doesn't have
any tabs (Mail Format or otherwise).

I need to embed graphics and hyperlinks into a mail message, and while it's
aces that Outlook (allegedly) allows me to do this, it would be even better
if it provided the correct information on HOW to do it.

Outlook is also wrong in saying that to insert an embedded object, follow
INSERT > Object. Object is found under EDIT, and it's grayed out until RTF is
activated.

So you see my dilemma.

If anyone knows of the right way to use these functions, please post a
message.

1. Help is referring to when you are in the main outlook interface.. You are
in the compose message window.
2. If we knew what version of Outlook, we could tell you where to change the
format of that message to RTF.
3. Unless the recipient is also using Outlook, don't use RTF format. Use
HTML format if at all possible.
