Hello,

Outlook has phantom emails it tries to send when executing a send/receive.

There are no files in the outbox.  Yet Send/Receive says "sending 1 of 13"
until it finally times out.

Any thoughts?   I have backed up and rebooted with no joy.

Possible undeliverable read receipts.  See this:
http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/deletereadreceipt.htm

However, there can be other causes.  Unless you state your Outlook version,
account type(s) and number of accounts, there's no way to tell.
