uIt seems that OUtlook is deleting my incoming email after it's been read.
If I read one and then go to Calendar or Contacts, when I get back to the
Inbox, the email is gone.  Have looked in the Deleted Items Folder umteen
times, and have looked in every other folder as well.  I needed to reply to
some of the ones I've lost.

Where did they go? and can they be recovered?

Examine your view settings. Simple logic tells us you have it set to "Unread
messages"
