Importing email messages back to original folders

In outlook express, when I clicked on some folders, nothing happened, no
email messages showed.  There were new messages in those folders, however.  I
messed around and all the folders vanished except the local and hotmail.

I managed to get them back through an import of backed up store folder, but
not all of my new messages were there.

I found that I had a newer backup of my store folder, but when I try to
import it, the folders I want to import do not show up in the import window.

I used a dbx extract program woe5extract and was able to find "most" of my
new messages, but getting them back to their original folders in outlook,
means opening them idividually and then moving them to the folder where they
were previously located.

Is there some other easier way to do this?

I also hope this makes sense to yawl
