The paragraph symbol is turned off in Word, e-mail and proofreading format.

However, it intermittently inserts itself into Word, saved drafts, e-mail
and everywhere else.

When it inserts itself into e-mail and I turn it off; it will either come
back into the next e-mail, saved draft, Word or delete what I have written in
the e-mail so far.  This happens before my eyes.  Or, people get a blank
e-mail and there is nothing saved in the "Sent" box.  Rebooting doesn't help.

Help!

Also when this began appearing in Contacts, shortly thereafter I could not
add additional information about the contact.

Version of outlook? Do you have all the latest updates installed?

Are you accidently hitting Crl+Shift+8?
