And what happens if Outlook is designated as the default e-mail client
instead of Outlook EXPRESS?  This newsgroup deals with Outlook.  There
is no "express" in the name of this newsgroup.  For help with Outlook
EXPRESS, you will need to post in a newsgroup for that program.  When
you do post over there, be sure to specify exactly HOW you are sending
the Word doc to the default e-mail client, or if the problem is doing
the actual send versus getting the Word doc in the e-mail message
itself (before you do the send).
