This morning, I logged into Outlook and noticed one of my most used DL's was
missing.  I opened the address book and the DL was there.  I sent a message,
only to find after the message was sent, the DL was gone. Nothing in my
contacts or the deleted items file.  I've even restored the deleted items
thinking I may have hit it by mistake.  In doing a search, the DL is not
found.  Any suggestions as to what happened and how I can correct the problem?

Restore it from your most recent backup.
People inadvertently delete DL's all the time because they use delete icon
in the DL to delete a member. Only it doesn't. It deletes the entire DL.
DL's were so poorly designed and implemented by Microsoft that we think they
were not intended for real use.
