While trying to set up Outlook for a user, I get the error message, unable to
open your default email folders.  The details for the error message indicate
that it results from trying to run Outlook from a terminal server session
when the OST is in use by the console session.
We run Outlook from an Exchange server on our network and there's no remote
access in this situation.
I can logon with my account and set up and run Outlook and I only get this
error for the person who will use the computer.  I've tried deleting and
recreating the profile, checking and unchecking cached mode, uninstalling and
reinstalling Office.
I'm stumped.
Thanks.

Terminal Server doesn't have anything to do with this.

The error indicates that either;
you have configured a mailbox as the default for the mail profile but the
user doesn't have rights to it
Or;
you have configured a pst-file as the default delivery location and the
pst-file isn't available.

Thanks for the response, Roady, but I've checked the properties for the
account and mail is set to be delivered the the mailbox.  BTW, the user is
successfully using Outlook on another machine.  I've tried having him
shutdown Outlook on the other machine while I try to configure and load
Outlook on his new one.  The problem on his new computer doesn't affect me,
though.  I can have Outlook running on my computer, log on to his computer
(as me) and successfully launch Outlook.  I've also tried deleting his user
profile.
