How can I define the view for new folders that I create? Specifically, I want to turn off the Reading Pane and turn on the Auto Preview for new folders. > How can I define the view for new folders that I create? > Specifically, I want to turn off the Reading Pane and turn on the > Auto Preview for new folders. New mail folders will always use the "Messages" view, so modifying that view should do what you want. View>Arrange By>Current View>Define Views. Select Messages, click Modify.
