Today's Outlook update causes error message as above. Do POP3 settings need
to be changed?
It's not just you. I have exactly the same result. I loaded updates earlier
and now I cannot connect to my Exchange server or send or receive via
SMTP/POP3. Very annoying. Luckily I have another PC I can use, but updates
should not cause a working system to fail. Grrr . . .
I have Googled for answers but nothing yet. Hopefully there will be some
advice on this thread.
Good luck, pdensen.

Uninstalling a security update does not sound like the "answer" or
"solution" to me, rather than a temporary circumvention. Better find out
what causes the problem, then fix the cause of the problem.
