Problem with sending emails with 2nd email address

I have had an email address that I have been using in Outlook 2000 that sends
emails out  just fine. I have added a second email address for business
purposes. When I hit the Send button to send out an email under the second
email address I get this message: The SMTP server responded with an error,
'outgoing.Verizon.net' (Account: ______________), SMTP server 0x800ccc60.
Even though I have checked the way both accounts are setup, and they are
identical, emails under the second email address are not being sent out. I
have talked to the email people and the Verizon people without success. What
could be the problem?
Thanks,    MsKriss

Are you authenticating to the outgoing server (the Verizon server) using the
same Verizon username and password as you use for the account that works?
