I don't know if this is the right place to be asking this, but I'm using a PC
without a sound card and would like to use the PC/motherboard speaker to beep
at me for certain mail.  I get the  beep when mail is sent to my inbox, which
is using the "reminder.wav" file (which I found under advanced
options>reminder options), but if I try to set up a rule to play this file
(along with moving it to a new folder), I get no sound/beep.

Thanks in advance.

There used to be an old driver that tried to use the Beep service but
it's been a decade since I remember trying it (and then it was under
Win98).  For all the effort you might put in, I can't see that it is
worth the $8 to get a really cheapie sound card if all you want to
hear is some noise from your computer
