Outlook hangs

Until recently I have been using Microsoft Word as Editor for Outlook.
However when ticking the "Reply", Reply o all" and "Forward " icons Outlook
hangs and I can only exit through Task manager.  If I disable Word as editor
Outlook appears to work properly but I would rather carry on using Word as
Editor.

I use Windows XP and Outlook 2003

Suggestions or help please!!!

When Outlook hangs, press Alt+TAB and check if there is a message box
somewhere in the background, probably with the text like "Invalid parameter".
