I just installed the trail of Outlook 2007 and I can't create new messages.
That option is grayed out.  Any ideas?

I did not install the full office 2007 - 2003 works just fine for me.

Have you activated your trial already?

I activated yesterday when I installed it.

And you also have configured a mail account?

Yes, I've configured it to use GMAIL via a MAPI connection.  I'm receiving
mail, but can't send due to the 'new' not being active.

Can you create new Word 2007 files? If not, it's an activation issue.

I'm not using any other 2007 apps (mentioned in the first posting).  I ONLY
installed Outlook 2007.

You know, based on the lack of MS support for a product that I'm only using
on a trial basis I can only imagine how horrible the support would be if I
actually spent money on it.  I think I'll look elsewhere.

What do you mean with lack of support? Did you call them already? This is an
end-user to end-user newsgroup.

Has the trial expired?
