I cannot open any attachments I receive. When I attempt to preview or even
save the attachments they open to only show me the source of the file itself.
For example when I try to open my latest attachment it only says:

Attachments:
(1) D:\data\mail\forefrontfutures.com\john\Files\Resume-Ali.doc  53248 bytes

I think that this has something to do with the fact that these are .doc and
excel files that are being sent, and the icon next to the attachement in the
e-mail indicated that it is a text file out of wordpad.

Does anybody know how I can resolve this issue? I need these attachements
for business.

Do you have Google Desktop Search installed?  If so, try uninstalling it and
see if that makes a difference.

I do not appear to have this Google Deaktop search installed. Any other ideas
on what might be causing this?
