Just converted gmail from pop to imap. Deleting in All Mail folder produces the desired strikethrough. Edit>purge>all marked produces the "are you sure" window and then triggers a send/receive. Strikethrough item shows through all of this. Then get a "renewing cache" cycle and the strikethrough is removed with the item remaining as it was when I started. You can do nothing about it from the Outlook side.  SignatureBrian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] Not sure I understand. Outlook IMAP instructions and posts on this site both say edit>purge permanently deletes the time from both outlook and the IP server.
