I am running Outlook 2000.  Beginning today, it will open and begin loading
my internet mail, but when it gets to this point "checking for new mail in
subscribed folders on mail.xxxx.net"    I'll get this error message -
"Outlook.exe has generated errorrs and will be closed by Windows.  You will
need to restart the program.", but restarting doesn't help.  Rebooting
doesn't help.  I called our email provider and whatever's happening isn't on
their end.  If I'm fast enough to cancel mail delivery I can do everything
except send or receive mail.

I pulled up the resolution message on microsoft support.  Disabling add-ons
didn't fix it and I'm a little leery about trying the "For Internet Mail Only
Mode" fix as I'm afraid I'll do something that isn't reversible that would
mess things up even worse.

Does anyone have a fix?

What type of account are you using?  Is Outlook installed in Internet Mail
Only or Corporate/Workgroup mode?
