Delete multiple messages at one time

I have a folder with pages and pages of emails.  I would like to know if
there is a way to delete all the messages at one time rather than one at a
time, which would take forever.  Thank you.

You can use SHIFT+click to select multiple emails or CTRL+A to select them
all.
