I have both on my windows xp and neither one will send and email. I will
type the email and send it to my other address and this is the error message
I get "The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'imap.cs.com (2)',
Server: 'smtp.cs.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket
Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E"
I use compuserve and have for more than 10 years and have never had a
problem until about a year ago. I have contacted compuserve and the assure
me I have the correct server for imap.

Check your McAfee port blocking also. When you enable Access Protection in
McAfee, one of the options is Block mass mailing worms. If this is enabled,
it usually hampers e-mail.
