Email notification using terminal server on Mac

I have a challenge for the scripting gurus out there!
We are running Remote Desktop on a Mac connecting to a terminal server where
we are hosting Outlook 2003.  We wanted the Mac users to use the same email
application as the rest of the office.  The complaint we are getting is that
when a new email comes in or it is time for a meeting reminder they cannot
see a notification since they typically minimize the RDC client.
Can anyone think of a way to pass through the notification to the Mac
desktop that would somehow trigger something on the Mac desktop to let them
know a new email has arrived?
Another approach might be to use Entourage since it is running on the Mac
but I would want to fire the email alert only and keep the user out of
Entourage (severely crippple it).
Any ideas on this would be appreciated!

Thanks

How about connecting to OWA?
Also, no sound enabled in the TS session?

Hi,

For the scripting related question, you can also post it to the MSDN newsgroups for peer experiences and recommendations. I have
provided link as below:
