Why does Outlook remove graphics from outgoing e-mail

When ever I send e-mail with graphics, the graphics are stripped from the
e-mail message and only the text is received.  Why?

Probably because the receiver has only Plain Text support.

Either clear the use Word to edit emails check box,or don't use the RTF
format for your emails ,or tell the  receiver to use outlook instead of
outlook express.
