Try closing outlook and reopening it using the /resetnavpane switch.

Thank you for your reply. Not familiar with switches. Have reviewed
information @ link but not clear.
Nevertheless, did click "Reset" button after right-clicking with cursor on
Contacts bar button and clicking "Navigation Pane Options . . . "
After doing so, Contacts re-appeared in Favorite Folders preview pane. When
click "Contact" screen shows Contacts screen. This is good, but how do I get
Contacts button bar below main preview pane to do the same. It still does
nothing.
How may I re-establish the link to whatever causes the Contract screen to
open when clicking that button bar?
Any additional insight would be appreciated. I will review link information
in the meantime.
