How could I go from the 2003 Outlook back to the 2002 version?

I was cleaning up some unused items in my wife's computer, and now explorer
icon is gone together with the 2002  Outlook. I then used the MS Office to
download the 2003 version of the Outlook, she absolutely hate it. Is there
anyway to go back to the 2002 version? I would be thankful for any assistance
that anyone could offer me.

I wonder why, since the two versions are so close in functionality.

Just uninstall the newer version and reinstall the older version from your
Office XP install kit.  Watch out for incompatible PSTs, though.  See this:
