Hola,
I’m working in an standalone PC at home with XP PRO and Outlook 2003. I’m
connecting to my pop3 mail server via internet. For a while (a few months) I
had been disconnected from internet and I activated the work offline feature
(I had a message reporting the failure to connect every five minutes). After
I reconnected to Internet, I have no problem to receive or send messages from
Outlook but I’m unable to disconnect the “work offline feature”, and I cannot
modify the rules, cannot use internet links (as mailto), and others features.
Every time I try I received two kinds of messages: “you have an older version
of Microsoft exchange server mail service. Create a new profile” or “Your
profile is not configured”.
The profile I use is the default one. I the only person to use the computer,
the account I use as only one mail profile. I never touched it. I try to
make a new outlook data file but I only have the possibility to do a
Microsoft Exchange Server one, not a IMAP and if I try to define a new
profile the situation is the same I not offered the possibility of creating
an IMAP service.
Nota Bene: my data file continues to be the original one, a pst file. I have
never been connected to an exchange server, and I had never defined an
exchange account.
How can I reverse to the previous situation with an IMAP service account?
Gracias.

you'll need to add a new acct to your profile to 'convert' a pop account to
an imap acct.

Hola Diane,
The problema is not between IMAP and POP accounts. The problems is that I
was working only with POP and IMAP accounts and now everything is based in
Exchange server (I not connected to any exchange server). I’m unable to
deactivated it.
