Outlook 2000 - inbox email disappear when i reply??

I am runnning outlook 2000, however when i reply to a received message or
forward a received message from my inbox it disapears from the inbox
altogether. I dont believe i have altered anything but if anyone has any
ideas i would be most grateful.

Make sure the folder isn't sorted by the icon column

Click View>Current View and make sure "Messages" is selected instead of
"Unread Messages".
