Can I filter out Activity/Task information for a contact?

I want to make a contact and assign tasks to this contact (The tasks will be dates that this contact will be working) but I don't want the tasks visible in my main 'Tasks'. I only want to see the tasks when I select the contact and go to the activities tab.

I want to do this to more than 1 contact as I want to use the activities tab as a mini database where I can assign work dates that also appear on my main calender. I don't want them appearing in my main tasks view on the right though.

Is this possible?

With assigning a category to the task that should be possible. Create a
category with a unique name that doesn't exist in any of your other
categories, e.g. '(contact_task)', and assign that to the tasks you don't
want to see in the main view.

Then set the filter to your main task view not to show items that contain
the mentioned category.
