a) I cannot stop my computer from downloading the same email messages again and again and again. It's a monster. b) Although I am not sending anything, when I click send/receive, first thing it tells me that it is sending message 1 of 1, then it fails to send, and ultimately it downloads my mail. I am also having the same problem with multiple downloads of some, not all, email messages. I have verified that my accounts are independent of each other and that messages are not being held on the server. I use Comcast (which seems to be more problematic these days) and have repeated run/checked for virus, spyware, adware. Your link was helpful and I checked all the areas that were mentioned but still had the same problem. However, I deleted all my message rules, closed Outlook and rebooted the computer. The multiple deliveries have stopped so there must have been a corrupted data file or whatever that was messing with my rules. Thanks so much for the help! |
