How to change default "Save As" location in Outlook 2003

Hi, I would like to change the default location for attached Office files
that if I open and edit them, they will be saved in a default folder that I
choose (e.g. My Documents) and not in the OLEK8 folder default that I can 't
find.

Note:  I found an earlier post that told me how to add my folder to the
"places" bar - this doesn't address my requirement.

Thanks

Never edit attachments directly from within Outlook.  Save them to disk
first (the save will default to My Documents).

Thanks Brian  -I'm assuming by your response that I can't do what I would
like to do.  It's not my intent to edit the document without first saving,
just that sometimes I'm not "thinking" so I was looking for a way to save me
from myself.

Well, you _could_ change the Outlook Secure Temp folder location to be "My
Documents".  See this: http://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/securetemp.htm .  It
tells you the registry location where that value gets defined.  Change the
registry value and you change the location Outlook will use to open
attachments, which changes where they'll save if you save them after opening
them from a message.  However, I'd recommend NOT doing that, but instead
train yourself to save them to My Documents first, then edit them from
there.
