Those digital signature waste storage space in my email folders.

How can I remove all the digital signatures stored in my email folders?

I don't want to remove all attachments, just the digital signatures.

Thanks.

Care to explain what you mean with this?

Digital Signature Layer.  Has an icon of a Red Ribbon over an envelope.  It's
supposed to verify the email came from the sender.  Which is wonderful for
security.

When I received the email, the message shows up in my email list with a
paper clip to signify attachment.

After I receive the email with digital signature layer, it is a waste of
storage space to hold on to these digital signatures.

I would like to remove all the red ribbons from my email folders.  I don't
see any option, right click menu option, etc, to delete these.

The help file doesn't have an answer to this question.

How do I remove the digital signatures(layer) attachments from my stored
email?

Thanks.

A digital signature is a very small addition to a message and doesn't add
significantly to the message size, so why fret?

On top of that, I doubt it can be removed.  That would negate its purpose.

I posted this question to find out how to remove the attachments.
After I receive the message, there is no reason to keep the signature with it.

Perhaps Microsoft can provide an answer.

Another problem I have with digital signatures showing as attachments:  I
can't sort my email by messages with genuine attachments.

Microsoft employees don't read this newsgroup.  You'll have to call them and
pay for the priivilege.

To get rid of the red ribbon you must change the item's MessageClass
property, turn it from "IPM.Note.SMIME.MultipartSigned" back to "IPM.Note".
But off head I can't tell you how to identify the attachment for sure.

If you have only a few items to edit you could do it manually with
OutlookSpy from www.dimastr.com.
