What is this "HIP" challenge I'm getting when I try to send email from
Outlook with the Outlook connector and my live.com email account?

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HA102218231033.aspx#3

I am not a spammer and I am becoming very sick and tired of these excessive
measures imposed by Microsoft onto me due to their lousy reputation for
developing secure software and putting their burden of establishing a good
reputation onto my shoulders.

I don't know if this is the right medium to report my frustrations but it's
the only one I've found that functions reliably.  The help and support for
Outlook Connector is non-existent.  Finding true help is a joke when it comes
to Microsoft.

I can say with all sincerity that if I am challenged one more time by this
crap that I will move all my email to my Google accounts and abandon
Microsoft Live and therefore Microsoft Outlook Connector and then Microsoft
Office entirely.

I resent this kind of treatment of me as a customer and to think I've paid
for this kind of crap.   I am so frustrated now that I desire to tell the
whole of Microsoft to go straight to hell.

did you ever get yours outlook connector issue fixed?  i just had the same
problem and fixed it... i'm not exactly sure which filed i deleted did the
trick.  basically (at least it is my understanding) the connector creates an
.ost file, as opposed to a .pst, for your hotmail account.

-close outlook
-go to:
X:\Documents and Settings\Drizzt\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook
-in there should be an .ost file with a large file size.  delete it or
rename it to .old.
-reopen outlook
-setup your outlook connector if you need to but otherwise if its already
configure it should see that there is no .ost file and it will create a new
one.  it should sync.

post the results and i'll try to assist further if it doesn't work out.
