I want to add additional stationery to Outlook so I have downloaded some from
MS Online.  They download as Word Documents.  Where should I save them so
they are accessible as stationery in outlook?  I would like to use them to
customize email messages.

Try saving them as HTML in the folder %AppData%\Microsoft\Stationery
