I have seen several cases where a contact get added to the contact list and
the name is displayed first name then lastname.  But all ot the others are
lastname, firstname.  it seems i can get this to fix in the contacts folder
but cannot get it to correct how it is shown in the "address book".  Is
there some simple fix for this?

Hi John,

To define how it shown in the address book, we can define 'show names by' in the address book. Following is the detail steps in Outlook 2007.
If you use other version of Outlook, change the steps accordingly.
================
1.    In Outlook 2007, click Tools > Account settings.
2.    In the Address Books tab, double click the Outlook Address Book entry to show its settings.
3.    In the 'show names by' field, choose 'First, last' or 'File As' as you want.
4.    Click Close. Close.
5.    Restart Outlook.
6.    Check the items in the Outlook address book. What is the result?

If anything is unclear or if you have any other concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Regards,

Emily Lin
