When I am travelling, I would like to carry certain e-mails (such as Hotel
confirmations, flight numbers etc) with me on my Palm.  How can I do that?

Configure your sync software to sync the Inbox.

Thank you Brian.

Unfortunately, this would mean that I have to download all Inbox messages.
I have the particular ones I need stored in a folder and several subfolders.
If I could only download these. Is there a way?

Reverse you logic and move those you don't want to sync to another folder,
leaving the ones you want to sync in the Inbox.  Alternatively, get a more
versatile sync tool.

Here's one that I've never used, but for which I've seen good reviews:
http://www.chapura.com/ .  I'm sure Google can find others.
