Thanks for the help. That seemed to solve my problem. Hopefully this will not
happen again but you never know.

Hi,

I've got the same problem and I found your page through a bit of googling
before I came here. Unfortunately, MDBVU seems unable to connect to my MAPI
(the part you have described as 'click ok in the first box', or MAPILogonEx
in the Session menu) - the uiUIParam that is filled inby default is NULL, and
there is another one starting "Parent hWnd = *some identifier" - both of
these options result in mdbvu throwing "MAPILogonEx: MAPI_E_CALL_FAILED", and
leaves the tool completely nonfunctional (my only options are to try and
logon again, which I can't do, or to see the about dialogue).
Do I have to be dealing with an Exchange account for this tool to be useful,
or should I be able to interact with the Local Store either way? (I only have
an IMAP account configured on this particular machine) The reason I ask is
that it seems that mfcmapi has replaced mdbvu32 and that explicitly talks
about it being exchange specific (and I additionally can glean no joy from
that tool either).
I've seen others talking about outlookspy which I'm about to give a whirl in
trial mode to solve my problem, but I was wondering if there was a
solution/limitation when using the mdbvu32 application that means it won't
work for everyone - everyone here seems to have had success when using it.
TIA
Phil

I've used MDBVU and MFCMapi with POP3/IMAP only accounts under Outlook 2003
w/out issue (as well as Outlook 2000 in Internet Mail Only mode). Out of
curiosity, what version of Outlook are you using?

Whoops, after all the detail I included I missed out the most obvious
things.. I've got Outlook 2003 SP1 running on this machine at present.
