how to retrieve mail color categories after clearing using rules?

I cleared color categories on my inbox unfortunately when using the rules and
alerts (Clear categories on mail). Is there any way to get back that color
category on my inbox?

You mean on the items that you cleared it for? Restore from backup.

Additionally to Roady, the colors are not stored with the emails; they still
exist in your Master Category List. But the rule removed the categories from
the emails, so either assign the categories manually again or restore your
data if you have a backup.
