Dear all,

Things were fine for months but recently my outlook has started looping when
sending some emails.
It seems a bit erratic and can happen with the simplest emails.

When it loops, I can only stop (kill...) outlook, re-open it and move
quickly the non-sent message out of the inbox before it tries to send it
again (and loop).

I use Outlook 2007 on Windows Vista and the Outlook Data Files are stored in
the "old" outlook format (97, 2000, etc).

I use Outlook 2007 from a Win XP machine pointing at the same Pop3 accounts
and Data Files and I never have this problem.

Any idea?
Is there some flag I could set to get a detailed log of what's happening?

Many Thanks

How many accounts do you have?
What is your automatic send/receive interval set to?
If you have a virus scanner that integrates with Outlook, disable this
integration and try again.

Hi Robert,

I have 5 accounts, although I really use only one for reception.

I disabled automatic receiving because I use an external spam filter
(Mailwasher Pro) but emails are sent immediately.

For antivirus, I use Avast on my Vista machine (F-Prot on the Win XP).
I tried to stop the antivirus but that did not change anything. Outlook
still looped when trying to send.
