1. Do not move the receipts with rules. Do not move the sent message to
another folder.
2. if the receipts have the TNEF data (not plain text) Outlook will
autoprocess them.

thanks - i did create a rule to move my read receipts into a different folder
- but i've just clicked on the Rules & Alerts button on the toolbar and the
only rule is one that move a newsletter to a folder. i can't see the rule
created for the read receipts so now i don't know how to remove that rule.

That's exatly the kind of feature I'm looking for! That tab with the read
and delete information, etc. how did you get it, what is it, etc.?
