I am getting 10 to 20 messages a day with no subject or sender. Is there a
way to stop this?

A rule could so it.  For the subject, for example, create a rule that
deletes everything except if it has "a" or "e" or "i" or "o" or "u" or "y"
in the subject.  Any message whose subject doesn't contain an English word
will be deleted.  That includes blank subjects or subjects with only digits,
consonants, or punctuation
