I've located the file where its saved:
C:\Documents and Settings\susana\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook\archive.pst

but when I click on the archive folder I get a message that I'm attempting
to open a file of type 'Office Data File' (.pst)

In Outlook, 'File|Open|Outlook Data File', navigate to the archive.pst file
and open it, find what you want and delete it.
