I am trying to figure out how to move all my past activities from my old
laptop to my new pc.
I used Outlook 2007 on my laptop and just intalled on my new PC. I was able
to tranfer some files with Vista's Easy Transfer but most of my sent and
deleted files that I need to copy were not transfered.
I am on a small network and I can also burn a CD/DVD if needed, but I cannot
figure out how to locate the Outlook files on the laptop and what to do after
I locate them. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do appreciate your help, but I cannot locate the file with these
instructions.
On my laptop (vista) I don't have the options or steps they suggest taking.
I tried and failed to locate the data on my laptop. Maybe I changed settings
and now I am stuck having problems locating the past history on Outlook.
Any other suggestions??????????????

Make sure you search hidden files/folders. Also make sure you enable the view
of known file extensions. Then simply search for *.pst. There should be two,
archive.pst which is your archived email and outlook.pst (unless it has been
named something else) which is the data file you're looking for.

I had no success following your "VERY APPRECIATED HELP"
When I try to do a search for the PST files, nothing comes back.
A couple of year ago I was able to tranfer from one pc to another copying
files and now I cannot figure out where to find them even with your help.
Still stuck.

Open Windows Explorer and enter

%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Outlook

in the Address field.  Click Go.

Of course now I found a new problem with my address book not being there.
I read some Outlook instructions on how to make my contacts the address
book, but for some reason I cannot do it.
When I tried, the SHOW THIS FOLDER AS AN EMAIL ADDRESS BOOK is shaded and
cannot put a check mark to get it done.
SUGGESTIONS????
Thank you in advance to the geniuses..........
