I am using Outlook 2003 - I have a 10 mb email that is "stuck" in my outbox.
Outlook trys to send it but it gets interupted - so it won't send, but it
won't let me delete it either because it says that  Microsoft has already
started transmitting this message.

Please advise if you have an idea of what I need to do to delete (or send)
this message.

Thank you

Mark Outlook to work Offline.  Completely close Outlook and reopen.  Delete the email.  Mark Outlook to work Online (uncheck Work Offline)  Completely close and reopen Outlook.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact.  All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

After furious head scratching, campbell asked:

Thanks for the suggestion.  It worked and the directions were clear and
concise.
