After numbering pages satisfactorily in my document, suddenly the pages are gone and in their place is: "{PAGE }." I can't get rid of it. I have deleted it from Auto Text, and from Heading, but it keeps poping back in when I try to insert numbers. I would appreciate any suggestions. Joe, toggle your field codes {Page} ON and OFF by clicking Alt F9. This is the field code for page numbering. If you want page numbers in your document, these must be there.
