Many Thanks Rae, but being very new to scanning this was my first go. What is OCR and how would I scan to it I am using Epsom Smart panel. Once again thanks for your help Your Epson scanner most likely came with a separate program called Abbyy FineReader 5 Sprint or something similar. You need to take a closer look at your User information. You may also have MS Office Document Scanning/Imaging software... Take a look in the MS Office - Office Tools folder.
