only-read document

When y have a "only-read document" y can not open it ( ever y see no
document at al)
I'm working with Vista and Word 2007.

You should be able to open a read-only document, but not make changes.
What happens when you attempt to open it? Do you get an error message?
Is there a chance that the document is damaged?

The document is not damaged. Other peaple can open it.
When i make a test by myself with a only-read document the same happends, i
can not open it.
