How do you unprotect a 2000 word document with word 2007? I see an icon for for protect document under the Review tab in 2007, but no mention of unprotecting, other then unrestricted access, which does not either. > How do you unprotect a 2000 word document with word 2007? When you click on the Protect button, if the document is already protected you should see a "Stop protection" button right down at the bottom of the protection pane... When you click Protect Document, click the Restrict Formatting and Editing option which will open the Restrict Formatting and Editing task pane.
