Need some urgent help...i was working on a word 2007 document, i was copying
and pasting from word 2003 and the program crashed, i now have a rescued
document on my desktop which is full of question marks and gobbledy gook..i
need to somehow recover this document and get back my work for a major
assignment due tomorrow.

I have searched the auto save directory location to no avail, have also
looked for *.tmp files on my c:\ to no avail..any ideas?  much appreciated.

Dear Amanda,

Try to open the file as follows:

Run MS-Word and choose open file. Select your file, and on the open button
select the small arrow (dropdown) and select open and repair.
