Why are boxes behind the window

Why is it that when selecting to open the print dialogue box type of options
the box is opening behind the open document. Not on top of it with document
in background.

This is usually caused by a badly behaved add-in - frequently the Norton AV
plug-in for Office.
Disable the plug-in from Norton AV
